Feast on the East

Located on Gerrard Street East between Greenwood and Coxwell Ave, Little India took on its distinct character in 1972 when Gian Naaz, an Indian immigrant, began renting the Eastwood Theatre and started showing Bollywood flicks. Today, a stroll along the strip reveals restaurants, cafés, DVD outlets, clothing shops and home-decor stores, flaunting the diverse wares and flavours of the subcontinent.
