The “Gaybourhood,” as it’s called is the still-thriving central gathering spot for Toronto’s queer community, rocking into the night at landmark bars and bathhouses. But it isn’t all cruising. The strip is also one of the most thriving daytime communities in the city, where the rainbow heritage behind the area’s crowded patio culture creates a progressive, activist tint that’s never more on display than during the annual Pride Week festivities.
