Long enough to learn a litany of naughty limericks about Hitler, set to jaunty melodies. These were our bedtime songs until we were old enough to catch on. "Hitler, has only got one xxxx, Geobels, had two but they're too small......." Our Mom would wander past the room and exclaim, "Jack, cut that out" and as our parents went down the hall chattering, my sisters and I would giggle ourselves to sleep. Edward!
