Tomorrow, the ice-cream trucks come to you

Taking advantage of the hot summer temperatures, car-service company Uber is delivering ice cream to members tomorrow afternoon from noon to 6 p.m. For $12, you’ll get ice cream treats for five people.

To get the ice cream, you’ll have to download the Uber app on to your smartphone and select a location for the ice cream to be delivered; the $12 fee will be charged to your credit card. The catch is that the delivery zone is in the downtown core—plus you’ll have to give out your credit-card information. But it could be worse; you could be bowing down to a vending machine for crisps.
