Granowska’s closing after four decades

Polish bakery Granowska’s is closing after 40 years on the Roncesvalles strip. Owner Kathy Klodas announced via Twitter last week that it’ll be “last Christmas!” and that Dec. 31 will be the last day for the shop. We made a beeline for the bakery to get one last box of paczki, jelly-filled glazed donuts. For those wondering, there are five flavours: rose hip jam, cheese, custard, poppy seed and plum jelly (between $1 and $1.30 each).
