In addition to lowering ticket prices, the ROM is a little staff shuffle in its restaurant department with today’s announcement that Corbin Tomaszeski will now be the executive chef at the museum and will be creating new menus for C5, the Food Studio Cafe and the museum’s in-house catering service. Tomaszeski was previously Holt Renfrew’s executive chef and for TV junkies, he’s also on Dinner Party Wars and Restaurant Makeover.
In the press release mentions that dishes like truffle potato chips, a lobster BLT salad and chicken pot pie are on the new C5 menu. As for C5′s former executive chef Ted Corrado, he’s now the “regional executive chef for Compass Leisure,” which means he’s now overseeing the food at places like Copps Coliseum, the Ontario Science Centre, the Toronto Zoo and the Museum of Civilization in Ottawa. Compass Group Canada is a national food service company that also operates in schools, hospitals and restaurants like C5 and the recently opened Foodwares Market in the lower level of The Bay on Queen Street.
