Elle M’a Dit: the Alsatian sensation

Toronto’s self-proclaimed “one and only” Alsatian restaurant Elle M’a Dit opened its doors 10 days ago at 35 Baldwin, in the heart of Baldwin Village. The kitchen, operated by former Thuet/Senses sous-chef Gregory Furstoss, features a modern take on the region’s distinct cuisine, with different ingredients and techniques borrowed from Toronto’s multicultural landscape.

Boasting 72 seats, the restaurant serves lunch from Monday to Friday (11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.) and a bar menu (2:30-5:30 p.m.) and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday (5:30 p.m.-11 p.m.). As they’re using the first few weeks to test things out, Elle M’a Dit hasn’t yet started advertising and have kept their website very basic so far. However, expect to hear more from them the near future.
