Don’t Miss: The Burger’s Priest burger eating contest

Toronto’s incredibly popular burger joint is holding an incredibly excessive eating competition this Saturday. And you can still apply to be a contestant.

Ladies and gentlemen, start your stomachs! Popular Toronto burger joint The Burger’s Priest is hosting a burger eating contest on Saturday, July 28.

But rather than seeing which contestant can eat the most burgers in a certain amount of time, “The Ultimate Burger Eating Contest” will see carnivores try to finish a single burger consisting of 12 patties and 12 slices of cheese—called The 12×12—the fastest. The contest, in collaboration with the new Hungry Buy deal site, will award the winner (aside from a massive, free burger, that is) a trip to Mexico and a $250 Burger’s Priest gift card.

If you’re feeling carnivorous (and ambitious), there’s still time to enter via the Hungry Buy’s site. Or, if watching is more your thing, head to the restaurant’s uptown location to watch all the meaty fun go down—and here’s hoping it stays down.

This is so disgusting. Sorry to be a downer but as someone who used to work with refugees in shelters and ran a nutrition program for children with parents on social assistance, eating contests are the ultimate douche chills inducing idea. You’ve lost one potential Burger Priest customer here.

I completely agree with you. This is so disgusting and it is does damage to your health. We can start to do smoking contest too. Or maybe Coca-cola drinking contest.
No please, we have already enough problems with being obese and Unhealthiest Fast Food Picks in Toronto and their popularity are a warning sign of this trend.

So it’s ok if someone comes in and buys a burger, but the second that they offer 4 free burgers for a contest it’s disgusting? Grow up. Why don’t you boycott all-you-can-eat buffets while you’re at it? Instead of spending ridiculous amounts of money on a different advertizing campaign, this is a more cost effective alternative. I hope you understand that it boils down to money, and i’d rather a company spend $500 on an advertising campaign worth of food than $10,000 with a greedy advertizing company which is a complete waste and more of an insult to needy people.

And for this you won’t go there again? Pathetic. So I guess you’d rather take your business to a greedy corporation like Mcdonalds or Burger King than eat at a local business owner’s shop? Much better investment indeed…

If you don’t like it then just move to a non-capitalist country.
