■ Jewellery designer Rita Tesolin has added three more days to her popular holiday sample sale, held at her showroom and studio (63 Wingold Ave., Suite 110, 416-784-1221). The Toronto-based designer is known for her bold pieces, many of which are up to 90 per cent off. Nov. 16 (noon–7 p.m.) and 17–18 (11 a.m.–5 p.m.). Cash only.
■ The showroom sale at 555 Richmond St. W. (Suite 204) is stocked with clothing, footwear, and accessories from European and American premium labels such as Nudie Jeans, Psycho Bunny, Filippa K, and By Zoe. The stock is up to 60 per cent off until Nov. 16 (10 a.m.–8 p.m.). Cash only.
■ The North Face is holding a four-day sale on merchandise for men, women, and children at 21 Vaughan Rd. The hours are Nov. 15 (10 a.m.–9 p.m.), Nov. 16 and 17 (10 a.m.–6 p.m.), and Nov. 18 (10 a.m.–4 p.m.). Cash only.
■ The talented Lucian Matis is holding a sample sale for all three of his fall 2012 collections (91 Tycos Dr., Suite 1). The Canadian designer’s glam Lucian Matis collection is ideal for evening and the holidays, the colourful Matis line is comfortable for work or play, and the Daphne collection is usually only found on the Shopping Channel. A wide range of sizes are available. The sale runs Nov. 16 (2–6 p.m.) and Nov. 17–18 (11 a.m.–5 p.m.).
EVENTS & POP-UPS
■ Sama Yoga Studio (197 Sorauren Ave., 416-825-8775) hosts a pop-up shop featuring Schoolyard Studios and String Theory, two locally crafted brands, on Nov. 18 from noon to 5 p.m. Have a mug of hot apple cider and shop for samples of unique textiles, kitchen linens, onesies, bibs, blankets, and hats for babies. Knit and woven baby-alpaca and merino scarves, shawls, totes, sleepwear, and undies for women will also be available.
■ Nov. 18 is the launch of 101 Market, which will run every third Sunday at the Junction’s 3030 Dundas West (3030 Dundas St. W., 416-769-5736), from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event features vintage and Canadian-made goods, and you can drink, brunch, and shop in one place.
■ Stroll Queen Street East between Logan and Greenwood from 6 to 10 p.m. on Nov. 15 for Leslieville’s annual Holiday Wanderlust. The the neighbourhood festival is a chance to support local retailers and enjoy some entertainment, nibbles, drinks, and one-night-only discounts of 10 to 20 per cent off.
