Arthur Mendonça may be the girly-girl’s go-to designer, but the Torontonian dreamboat’s much-welcomed comeback has heralded a new specialty: suiting. Mendonça’s obsession with sleek Hitchockian heroines continued this season with a fresh collection of suits and slick separates that take workwear somewhere wild. Throw away that boring skirt suit and don one of his double-breasted blazers and cropped trousers in pink or powder-blue silk, or toss together a shocking, Miami-baller chartreuse jacket and cobalt or magenta pants. Want something with a little more skin? Look to the purple shantung silk shorts and sleeveless top adorned with sharp, architectural ruffles. Suiting up has never been so sexy.
