Want to get snapped by a street-style photographer? Wear an eye-popping print. Those looking to star in the next Fashion Week gallery should just pick out a piece or two from Lucian Matis’ new collection. The simple, elegant shapes of his cropped trousers, bralettes, shifts, maxi-dresses, jumpsuits, button-ups, and cocktail dresses perfectly showcased all those pretty, psychedelic patterns. The prints had a woozy ’70s expats-in-Africa vibe at first, before shifting to a ’50s housewife-ish bouquet of abstract tulips. Kaleidoscoping mint and burnt-orange orbs on circle skirts then segued into sexy red baroque coral branching across geometric-patterned shorts. Perfect for that next oh-so-on-trend pattern-on-pattern ensemble… or street-style op.
