We wanted to see how Torontonians felt about three of fall’s hair trends. So three Grid ladies headed to Marc Anthony Salon for a makeover, then hit the streets to get some feedback.

HOW TO DO THE BIGGER IS BETTER BOUFFANT:
Step 1
Start with texturized hair—muss it up with volumizing foam or loosen curls with blow-dry cream. Work the product through from roots to end and use a diffuser to blow-dry your hair. While blow-drying, use a round brush to sweep front section of your hair to the side and section off.
Step 2
Once your hair is dry, gently back-comb the entire thing except for the front section. Leaving the front bits out, make a low ponytail and twist it close to the head, then up towards the crown. Pin it in place as you go along and don’t worry about being too neat—this look is a bit untidy.
Step 3
Once the hair is all pinned in, you can fuss with the front. Take a tail comb and pop it inside the bouffant and pull gently to get a bit more volume at the top. Tuck the front bits in behind the ear (or pin them back for a more polished look).
Step 4
Apply hairspray. Liberally.
