Building the ultimate backyard fort

You want to rough it (within reason), so we asked Ken Chong and Zahra Ebrahim, co-owners of King West’s new problem-solving design clinic, The Design Walk-in, to dream up a roomy, outdoor abode using everyday household materials. Hope you’re good at tying knots.

Materials List

2 shower curtains (and rings)

Rope or clothesline

6-9 any of: broomstick/mop handles/shower curtain rods/1×1 wood panels

4-6 sheets

6-9 buckets (filled with soil or sand)

2-4 cardboard boxes (for accordion walls)

A bookshelf

Dining table or outdoor patio set

Sleeping bag and air mattress

1 roll of cheesecloth

Duct tape

Yeah I agree with dwayne,

shame I have never seen it anywhere around. But it probably needs some more time to become a summer hit. I can imagine placing it into one of the beautiful parks in Toronto and enjoying a cup of coffee while leaving children to play with their friends.

Wow an absolutely amazing idea for any one with kids who need to be close to home but bringing nature close to the house. I thik this would be absolutly amazing for any one that has a child with a disability or single mom or dad would need the benefits of being close to home but need some peace and quiet alos.This design is amazing, way to go for showing this off i think its great.
