Fresh off headling a Canada Day Festival in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, B.C.’s Mother Mother will make a pit stop in town today, and they want you to join them. The band will pop into 102.1 the Edge ‘s Sugar Beach Studios (25 Dockside Dr.) tonight at 7:30 p.m. to play the new single off their forthcoming fourth album, Sticks , to be released this fall. The group will be back in Toronto Aug. 19 for a show at Echo Beach along with Said The Whale , in support of Our Lady Peace .

Mother Mother front man Ryan Guldemond also co-produced the debut record from fellow west coasters Rococode , Guns, Sex & Glory. The eclectic art-popsters have released a striking new video for the track “Ghost 1/Ghost 2 ,” co-directed by bassist Shaun Huberts, who has also recently published the book How to Pack Like a Rock Star ,James Street Super Crawl (Sept. 14-15), which shuts down the street to celebrate live music. Also performing at the free event are K’naan , Great Lake Swimmers , and a rare appearance by the legendary Change Of Heart.
