Just Announced: Madonna at the ACC

After spending a quiet weekend at home completely out of the spotlight, Madonna today announced details of her upcoming world tour, which begins in Tel Aviv on May 29, before hitting Australia, Europe and North and South America.

The tour will touch down at such historic sites as New York’s Yankee Stadium and Quebec’s Plains of Abraham; we Torontonians will have to make do with the Air Canada Centre, which will host Madge (and, presumably, a small army of back-up dancers) on Sept. 12. No word yet on whether M.I.A. or her middle finger will be tagging along.

Tickets for all North American dates go on sale Feb. 13 at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.

The tour will promote Madonna’s upcoming album, MDNA, out on LiveNation/Interscope Records March 26; the release was teased with last week’s unveiling of the first single, “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” which, shockingly, is not a ZZ Top cover.
