Is Noel Gallagher on his way to Toronto?

The former Oasis band leader has announced not one but two new albums. Now rumours are swirling about a Toronto show the week of release.

Former Oasis band leader Noel Gallagher announced last week at a press conference that he would release not one, but two new LPs.

The first, which is set for release October 17th in the UK and November 8th in North America, will be under the name Noel Gallagher and the High Flying Birds. The album contains the material he’s been working on with latter day Oasis producer David Sardy over the past year in London and Los Angeles. The track listing revealed a few tunes Oasis fans will recognize, including the album closer, the superb “Stop The Clocks.”

The second record, to be released next year, is a continuation of his collaboration with psychedelic rock project Amorphous Androgynous. The big news locally are the persistent whispers that Noel and his Flying Birds may very well be soaring into Toronto for a show the week of the album’s release as part of a series of North American shows.
