The 1975 cult classic returns to its longtime Bloor Street home for a famous shadow cast screening this Saturday night.

Have you been back to the immortal Bloor Cinema since its recent renovation and partnership with Hot Docs? What better way to celebrate its rebirth than with a famous, freaky feature that has a long history in this grand old theatre?

The Rocky Horror Picture Show returns to Toronto and with it comes a classic, theatrical spin on the film’s cinematic kink. Local troupe Excited Mental State will shadow cast alongside the film itself, bringing its own live-action twist to the late-night screening. The film’s famous costumes will be given Tim Burton and Johnny Depp inspired infusions—think Rocky Horror Scissorhands—the kind of cult-classic mash-ups that are sure to have everyone shouting, “A toast!”

Expect a night of costumes, trivia, prizes galore and all-around audience participation. And for those of you wondering, yes, it’s BYOB (bring your own baked goods!) and 18+.
