Toronto’s annual Nuit Blanche festivities are all about setting art into motion, so that’s once again how we captured our white night on the town, with this gallery of animated GIFs.

The Reaction: Say hello to a big fat corporate sponsor thingy. Yet again, Chevrolet took over the corridor on Bay Street leading up to Old City Hall for a two-part interactive installation that featured a car ride through a carnival funhouse and and an outdoor dance club with cotton candy, popcorn, and a floor powered by the feet of dancing revelers, complete with dry ice fog and everything. “There is no release from the Fun House” is what you heard on your way to the two-hour lineup, following which you hopped in a shiny new Chevy and were driven around the block and into the carwash-like madness of dead circus dreams. Turns out it’s a thrill to watch people watching you live out your worst nightmares. Oh look, there’s a Christina Aguilera version of Elvira. And a guy on stilts.
