Check out all the city snapshots shared on social media last Thursday as part of The Grid’s #TOminute project!
Now, that’s what we call hashtaggin’! As a follow-up to last week’s cover story in The Grid, a photo-essay document of one minute in the life of Toronto, we asked our readers to help us celebrate Toronto’s 180th birthday on March 6 by taking a picture at the precise time of 5:47 p.m. and sharing it on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #TOminute. We were floored by the overwhelming response—for 60 seconds last week, you made us feel like Ellen taking Oscar selfies.
After sifting through the hundreds of submissions, we hereby present all of the photos that were submitted during the #TOminute. A huge, CN Tower-sized THANK YOU! to everyone who participated in our experiment (and who continued to share their snapshots even after the minute had passed).
Scroll down for a glimpse of what 5:47 p.m. on March 6, 2014 looked like in Toronto—or, if you’re in a hurry, watch the video above to see all these photos in a slideshow that lasts for, natch, 60 seconds.
