We’re down to the finalists—the three neighbourhoods our readers think get too much hype, and the three they think don’t get nearly enough. Now, it’s up to you to choose the big winner and big loser.
Toronto is a city of neighbourhoods, sure. But not all of its neighbourhoods are created equal, and not all neighbourhoods are thought of equally, either: Some don’t get the love they deserve, and others… well, let’s just say they get a bit too much love.
Back in March, The Grid asked you to nominate the neighbourhoods you thought deserved to be on our list as Toronto’s most underrated and overrated—not Toronto’s best and worst neighbourhoods, its cheapest or most expensive, its most or least beautiful, its kindest or meanest, its bike-friendliest or bike-unfriendliest, its closest-to-or-farthest-from-the-lake-or-subway, but which neighbourhoods deserved to have more light shined on them, and which ones have been hogging the spotlight. Then, last month, we unveiled the semi-finalists and what our readers had to say was so great or not-so-great about each.
Now, more than 3,500 votes later, we’re ready to announce your finalists. Vote before 5 p.m. on Friday, May 18; we’ll be announcing the results in print and online on Thursday, May 24, along with the lucky reader who’ll be walking away from the competition $1,500 richer. Want to make sure you don’t miss the news? Be sure to follow The Grid on Twitter, like us on Facebook, or subscribe to us via RSS, if you don’t already.
