Mammoliti should know that death sentences are final. There’s no going back if a mistake was made and the courts make plenty of mistakes (just ask those exhonorated after spending years behind bars falsely accused). No man has the right to take another’s life.

Exactly. Especially after that disgraced pathologist managed to ruin so many innocent lives, and even after the first few cases by him were found to be wrong others still had to wait years and fight in court to get their case looked at again. Our justice system is very far from perfect.

I say, bring it back! Canada’s justice system is far to forgiving or soft on serious, hard criminals. For idiots like Magnotta, and selfish shooters like Husbands… Pedofiles and rapists; The world and city would be a far better place with out these monsters. I certainly hate the idea of our tax dollars paying for the jail accomodations (often short lived – only to “rehabilitate criminals” ) of the criminals only to release them into society seven years later…
