Get ready for traffic jams. The intersection of Queen & Spadina will be closed to cars for two whole weeks: from Monday, July 9 to Monday, July 23.
Ongoing construction on the Spadina streetcar line has caused the shutdown of streetcar service until November 2012.
While a select few have expressed musical joy over the return of the Spadina bus, this month’s streetcar track replacement work at Queen and Spadina is no laughing matter.
The intersection will be under a full road closure, closed to both traffic and TTC service, for two whole weeks: from Monday, July 9 to Monday, July 23.
The City has suggested that all drivers just use Richmond, Adelaide, Dundas, King, Bathurst, or University instead. Get ready for traffic jams.
But don’t worry, you’ll still be able to shop at H&M and see shows at the Horseshoe. The City says that the intersection will still be open to pedestrians throughout the road closure.
