Like taking candy from a trick-or-treater

At least four separate instances of candy snatching occurred across the city between 8:30 p.m. and 9:10 p.m. on Halloween, according to police. In neighbourhoods near Kipling and Steeles, Eglinton and Kennedy, Jane and Finch, and just north of the Scarborough Bluffs, groups of teenagers, ranging from three to 12 members, cornered other teenage trick-or-treaters and demanded their door-to-door goodies. Suspects may be difficult to track down—in two of the incidents, police report that “disguises” made identification impossible.
