Food Spy: Sukho Thai to open second spot in St. Lawrence Market area

Cabbagetown Thai restaurant Sukho Thai (274 Parliament St., at Dundas) is opening a larger branch at 52A Wellington St. E. (at Church) in the Habaneros space. A sandwich board outside the Mexican restaurant is currently counting down the days until it closes (Oct. 27). In November, Sukho Thai will take over and spruce up the 80-seat restaurant before (hopefully) opening in the beginning of December.

“It’ll be the same menu and name,” says Myrna Regular, wife of Sukho Thai owner Vicente. “It’ll be the exact same concept and we’ll have a liquor licence.”—Karon Liu
