Gangster Burger, opening soon at 607 Queen St. W. (east of Bathurst), wants to “make you a burger you can’t refuse.” The menu is short but looks promising. Six patties named after infamous bad boys, like The Capone, The Don C, and The Dillinger round out the list, as well as a basic selection of sides including fries, salad, and poutine. Toppings range from the classics, to more gourmet fare: smoked provolone, roasted red peppers, crushed seasoned tortillas, and fried eggs. They’ll also have something called gangster goo (spicy ketchup) and a blue magic sauce—we’re not sure what’s in this mystery condiment, but it’s blue, like Smurf blue.—Rebecca Fleming
