Toronto is going ramen crazy, and on Dec. 2, Voodoo Child Café is throwing its hat in the ring—or its noodles in the bowl. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the College Street espresso bar will be hosting a ramen pop-up presided over by Chef Joe Friday of Alimento, who learned the art of ramen in Japan.
According to the Voodoo Child website, Chef Friday will be making two types of ramen: one with a shrimp and scallop bisque, and another with black Hawaiian salt-cured duck and nduja sausuage. One bowl of the popular noodles will be $15, and (in staying with current trends) there are no reservations.—Rebecca Fleming
