It’s a demographic switch. Sure there are a lot of coffee shops in the Junction, but the spot where Bakers Dozen lives has space for cars. Lots of drivers go through Dundas St West on their way home or to the highway and I can see the benefit of a place they can actually stop and park in.

Also? After 9/10pm all the tasty indie coffee shops are closed and the Timmy’s closer to Jane on Dundas West closes its doors to pedestrians and is drive-thru only. I won’t mind having a Timmy’s close to my house if that means I can actually get a hot chocolate or a donut or something late at night. There’s not too many other options.

What a mistake for the Junction. Just wait and see all the cars stopped along St John’s beside Malta park. I just hope they don’t stuff a drive through like they did on the one across from Shopper’s drug on Dundas further west of the Junction.

Idling cars right beside a childern’s playground. I hope Parking Enforcement apply the rules consistently.

What a waste of a prime focal point to the ‘hood.

I’m not to excited Tim Horton is coming to this neighbourhood. Why wasn’t this prime piece of real estate used for something great and original. They shouldn’t of been so quick to sell the business. Typical Toronto practice of not thinking ahead.
