Come and Get It—the pop-up that should just really be called a restaurant at this point because it just celebrated its first anniversary at 170 Spadina Ave.—is marking the occasion by selling their generously sized boxes of poutine for $5 (regular price $7) for the rest of the week from 2 to 8 p.m. Try the chicken-caesar or the jerk-chicken versions.
Owner Jon Polubiec says his temporary restaurant will most likely stick around till spring. “The big question is whether we can get another summer in, and the landlord and I are negotiating that right now,” he says. “We’re also looking for another location at the right opportunity.” The Come and Get It space, formerly Ackee Tree Jamaican restaurant, is slated to become a fireworks, candy, and puppy dogs store. Just kidding, it’s going to be a condo.—Karon Liu
