Food Spy: Bazara Asian Cuisine takes over Goed Eten spot

And so the culinary circle of life continues. Moving into the former location of waffle haus Goed Eten, which closed last fall, is Bazara Asian Cuisine (188 Ossington Ave., at Dundas St. W.) opening tonight for dinner. Owner Sammy Yang describes the food as “fusion Asian food,” featuring a mix of Japanese, Chinese, and Thai cuisine, and it will also serve lunch after tonight’s opening. To recap: between the two juggernaut pho restaurants (Golden Turtle and Pho Tien Thanh), Oddseoul serving modern Korean, Hawker Bar doing Singaporean street food, Amaya Express selling Indian takeout, Ossington is becoming a one-block UN. —Karon Liu

Must try the Bazara roll!!!! The crunchiness of the black rice matches very well with the ingredients. Healthy as well.

Hot and sour soup was amazing.

Only thing which I’m not fully satisfied…… they are still waiting for their liquor license. Owner said next week.

Will definately check in next week!
