Open as of last night, Archive (909 Dundas St. W.) is the new next-door neighbour to popular brunch spot Saving Grace.
The wine list consists of 25-30 bottles and all are available by the glass, with approximately half of them sourced from Ontario vintners. Currently, the tapas-style menu includes sardines, olives, dates, salad and cicchetti—which co-owner Joel Corea explains is Italian for “stuff on bread”—with plates ranging from $3-$7. Corea (who owns the bar with his brother Joshua) wants Archive to be considered a “civilized drinking establishment,” so stay classy, Toronto.
