Consider this as an invitation or warning for people who will be in Cabbagetown on the evening of Oct. 10. The Toronto chapter of Dishcrawl, the group that organizes regular food tours in various neighbourhoods, will be hosting a restaurant crawl—Gangnam style.
For $25, participants will get to eat at three restaurants (locations are kept under wraps until two days prior to the event) and will do a flash mob to the tune of current YouTube phenomenon and most-liked vid of all time, Korean pop star Psy’s “Gangnam Style.” Here’s a tutorial on how to do the dance (YouTube is overflowing with Gangnam flash mobs), which you’ll agree is a lot more forgiving for novice dancers than doing a “Single Ladies” flash mob, but more impressive looking than dancing to last year’s YouTube anthem, Rebecca Black’s “Friday”.
Consider the Dishcrawl event practice, because you’ll probably be doing this dance at every wedding you attend for the next five years.
